Let Go or Burn Out: 5 Tasks to Delegate Now
If you’re delegating just admin work, that’s like going to the gym and only stretching. You’re missing the actual workout.
A lot of founders think delegation means offloading scheduling or getting to inbox zero. Sure, that’s part of it, but it’s just scratching the surface. If you’re still buried in tasks every day, you’re not delegating. You’re babysitting. You’re micromanaging.
I built an eight-figure business from scratch and sold it for $28 million in six years, not by obsessing over every little detail, but by building a team I could trust with more than admin and busy work.
Here are five things you should be handing off beyond admin if you actually want to scale.
Delegate Sales Outreach
Let’s start with sales.
I don’t take every first sales call anymore. My team handles the top of the funnel, generating leads and hopping on initial conversations.
You know what that does? It shows prospects right away that my team is capable. It builds trust from the start.
By the time I show up, it’s not about whether they want to work with us. It’s about strategy and alignment.
That’s how you scale sales without chaining yourself to Zoom, your phone, or your desk.
Delegate Content Creation
The second big one: content.
The only thing my team can’t replicate is me.
Here’s how it works: I record a video. My team turns it into a full YouTube episode, short clips, LinkedIn posts, a newsletter, a blog, and more.
My job? To create authentic content.
Their job? To make me show up everywhere.
Founders who are DIY-ing memes at midnight, that’s procrastination disguised as productivity.

Delegate Inbox Management
Okay, this one is admin… but it’s a total game changer.
Every hour you spend in your inbox is an hour you’re not building revenue. Period.
My team manages my replies, books calls, and keeps communication flowing. They don’t book calls with people they know I don’t want to talk to. We use scripts and Asana so I only step in when it’s truly me that’s needed.
Imagine how many hours you’d win back if your inbox stopped being your full-time job.
Delegate Accounting Tasks
You can’t outwork messy books. Trust me, I’ve tried.
I used to be the QuickBooks person in my business. Spoiler: the IRS doesn’t care about your founder grind.
Now, I’ve got an onshore CPA who handles taxes, compliance, and legal. But my team tracks payments, updates revenue dashboards, and keeps our books tight.
That means I stay informed without drowning in spreadsheets. Transparency? Check. Control? Check. Stress? (Mostly) gone.
Delegate Special Projects, aka Your “Rocks”
We loosely follow EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System, which means every quarter, my team sets and owns their rocks.
That might be outreach follow-ups, partnerships, or creating new SOPs.
My rocks? Writing my book and creating my keynote talks.
You don’t scale by adding more Post-it notes. You scale by owning rocks, staying in your lane, and staying out of your team’s lane.

Why Delegation Grows Your Business
Let’s recap: sales, content, inbox, accounting, and special projects.
These aren’t admin tasks (okay, except inbox). These are growth levers.
The sooner you stop doing all of these yourself, the sooner your business actually has room to take off.
Delegation isn’t giving up control, it’s stepping into your role as a leader.
Look at your team not as an expense, but as an essential investment.

You don’t have to do it all, you just need the right team in place.
